One of the biggest support platforms for the renewed vocational education system is the Innovative Training Centre (IKK), whose responsibilities include the compulsory continuing education of vocational trainers. Through the IKK platform, Insedo Ltd. offers continuing education for trainers working in vocational education, available through the Trainer Continuing Education System (OTR) set up in September 2023, with a continuously expanding range of courses.<\/p>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

1. First steps in digital pedagogy<\/strong><\/h2>

The first step is always the hardest\u2014let\u2019s take it together! We will create one or two online quizzes and digital worksheets, then look at how they can be shared with others. Success is guaranteed for every age group!<\/p>

6 modules, 6 applications, 6 methods, 6 small steps in digital pedagogy. If someone wants to take their first steps now, this is where to start. We will learn six fundamental techniques that will visibly transform our teaching methods and the way we view our work as educators.<\/p>

<\/strong>2. Digital techniques (not only) in language lessons<\/strong><\/h2>

Whether it is vocabulary, dates, definitions, or terminology, there are countless exciting ways to practice them in class. We create playful\u2014and sometimes less playful\u2014quizzes and learn a trick that can multiply our digital pedagogy toolkit. This is a must-have!<\/p>

Modernizing language-class activities so they are motivating and engaging for 21st-century learners. Students in vocational education and training often struggle with motivation, and their diligence is frequently insufficient to compensate for gaps in knowledge. Digital techniques can make vocabulary development, grammar, and structure-learning methods more effective where current approaches have failed. With the techniques acquired during the training, teachers will be able to renew their pedagogical methods, communicate knowledge successfully to their students, and support their language development.<\/p>

3. Designing interactive presentations<\/strong><\/h2>

Not paying attention? Talking? Sleeping in class? It does not have to be this way! Involve them! Activate them! Check understanding! All of this on the spot while explaining the material. Learn an interactive approach to planning your presentations\u2014or redesigning old ones. Everyone will pay attention to this!<\/p>

Front-of-class methods still dominate the methodology of theoretical vocational education, with ICT tools often contributing mainly by enabling instructors to deliver material using presentation software. During the training, participants become familiar with presentation options beyond the overused PowerPoint and, more importantly, learn how to make existing presentations interactive and develop a mindset that enables them to design future presentations this way from the outset. This requires learning suitable quiz-creation applications and how to embed them in presentations so that quizzes can be inserted and shared without interrupting the flow, while activating learners and helping them understand the material. As an alternative, participants learn to build classroom activities with interactive elements from the very beginning. This is particularly important in language teaching, where it enables more practical learning and acquisition of theoretical material instead of a lecture-based approach.<\/p>

4. Digital solutions for measurement and assessment<\/strong><\/h2>

AABCA\u2026 that feeling when, by the third test, you have already turned the answer key into a rhyme\u2014and there are still twenty to go. We will explore a few platforms where automated marking can take some of the burden off our shoulders. ONE red pen will be enough for an entire year!<\/p>

During online education, we experienced how conventional written tests can lose their purpose in the digital environment. Technology experts have long been working with teachers to transfer traditional test-taking methods into online education through applications and web platforms. Although this has not been achieved perfectly in every respect, exciting results have emerged in many areas of measurement and assessment. In addition to making instructors\u2019 work significantly easier, these tools provide previously unimaginable insight into student performance and therefore offer tools for improving it effectively. During the training, we explore these platforms so instructors can make use of the advantages of the digital environment in their measurement and assessment practices.<\/p>

5. Creating digital learning paths<\/strong><\/h2>

Already have online quizzes? A library of digital worksheets? Familiar with the depths of digital pedagogy on the internet? Let\u2019s connect the learning materials into a logical sequence and differentiate in the most effective way. Let\u2019s step back so our students can step forward!<\/p>

Sway and Genially are generally regarded as presentation software, but they are perfectly suited to creating digital learning paths because the content we share appears on the learner\u2019s own device. Building on this, the training teaches participants how to create a guided learning process that best meets the needs of the target group and, going further, how to enable individual learning pace even in classroom lessons, thereby fully individualizing the learning material. Naturally, all of this can be combined with traditional techniques, and collaborative methods can also be used within the learning path.<\/p>

6. Moving forward in digital pedagogy<\/strong><\/h2>

The professional development course \u201cMoving Forward in Digital Pedagogy\u201d was created as a continuation of the \u201cFirst Steps in Digital Pedagogy\u201d programme in response to participants\u2019 request to learn how the digital foundations they had acquired could be applied more creatively and consciously in teaching. The aim of the training is to introduce teachers to new ideas, methods, and technical solutions that can make their lessons more visually engaging, interactive, and playful. The programme is built around three main topics: effective presentation design, gamification that supports learning, and creative, visually appealing learning-material development. During the training, participants not only become familiar with new digital tools, but also create their own content that they can integrate into their teaching practice. Thanks to the practice-oriented approach, teachers develop their digital competencies step by step and gain knowledge that can be applied immediately in everyday pedagogical work.<\/p>

Training objective:<\/strong><\/p>

The aim of the course is for participating teachers to deepen and broaden their knowledge of digital pedagogy and to acquire creative, learner-centred methods for lesson planning and delivery. The programme supports the conscious development of digital competencies, with particular attention to visuals, student engagement and enhancing the learning experience. A key objective is that teachers should be able to create digital course material independently, gamify the learning process, and produce visually polished and understandable presentations and teaching materials. Understanding the use of digital tools appropriate to pedagogical goals, strengthening methodological awareness and making effective use of digital learning environments also play an important role. By the end of the course, participants will be able to make informed decisions about when, what and how to use from the digital toolkit to achieve their teaching goals.<\/p>
