Bridging the Generational Gap between Teachers (KA210‑SCH)

Objectives

• narrowing the generational gap between teachers and trainers in European public education;
• supporting the exchange of experience and mentoring between younger and more experienced teachers;
• digitalisation as a priority area: developing digital skills across every age group;
• developing a practical training programme built on cooperation between the generations.

Key results

• a European-level questionnaire survey with 1,019 teachers taking part;
• the development of the BridGE training programme based on the results of the survey;
• pilot testing of the training in Portugal and Slovenia, in real classroom settings;
• the BridGE Training Handbook - a freely available training handbook in Hungarian, English, Slovenian and Portuguese;
• a closing professional event in Hungary.
